This is the Swney tree in our roadside paddock given to us by Gray and Merle Swney, special friends and foundation clients of Windsor Park from our beginning.

Gray and Merle bred many good racehorses including Star Way's outstanding Gr.1 classic winning daughter Shankhill Lass from their top broodmare Paddy's Sister. 

Shankhill Lass was also the top priced filly by a first season sire at the Trentham yearling sales back in the day.

Yesterday Gray passed away after 98 good years. We were blessed to have Gray & Merle as part of Windsor Park's journey and our thoughts are with the Swney family remembering a very special man.
