Turn Me Loose gets down to business

A treble of impressive winners yesterday for exciting young sire Turn Me Loose (Iffraaj) were headed by a Mark Walker-trained double at Matamata.

It’s Business Time is raced by a syndicate which includes her breeders Windsor Park Stud who stand her sire Turn Me Loose at their Cambridge property and the 4YO mare, who was having just her third start, careered away to an easy 2 ¼ length winning margin in the 1600m event.

No less impressive four races later was exciting 3YO filly Off To The Nunnery who was making just her second racetrack appearance for her connections.

After racing on pace and three wide, Off To The Nunnery proved far superior to her rivals in the 1100m race, easing down for a dominant victory and suggesting an exciting future awaits the progressive filly.

Meanwhile in Australia, former New Zealand galloper Bifrost, returned to winning form over 1100m in Victoria.

Carrying 60kg’s the Melbourne winner easily put paid to his rivals to score his third victory by 3 1/2 lengths for trainers David and Emma Lee Browne.

Turn Me Loose, whose multiple black type performing daughter Wessex was such a gallant placegetter in the Gr.2 Eight Carat Classic at Pukekohe on Boxing Day, has 21 yearlings catalogued in Books 1 and 2 at Karaka later this month.
