Sham I Am provided his trainer Ray Matthews with his first metropolitan win as a trainer when creating a boil over at 70-1 at Moonee Valley on Friday night. The son of Shamexpress and Les Miserables proved too tough leading throughout to win by a nose. Sham I am is bred by Jeff Dimery's Uluru Stud who also combine in the ownership.
Jenni Express earlier in the day cleared out by 3.5 lengths at just her second start at Yarra Valley, making amends from an unlucky 2nd on debut. The filly who is out of Very Musical was bred and sold by Windsor Park and looks to be one for the future after possessing a potent turn of foot.
Shamexpress progeny have been in hot form for the young sire following on from last weekends impressive Gr. 3 winner Coventina Bay.
