Royal Ascot supremo CIRCUS MAXIMUS sires 3YO double
Continuing his hot run of form, exciting young sire CIRCUS MAXIMUS (Galileo) provided a winning double at Pukekohe today with promising first-crop 3YO fillies Circus Trix and Cirque De Rose both saluting the judge.
Unlucky at her previous start in the Gr.2 Soliloquy Stakes at Ellerslie when suffering an impeded run, Circus Trix bounced back to come from a rearward position on the turn and trounce her rivals with an arrogant turn of foot to win the 1200m Sistema 1200 for trainers Ben & Ryan Foote and owner/breeder John Wood.
Four races later her paternal half-sister Cirque De Rose, trained by Samantha Mynott and bred by Windsor Park Stud who are also involved in the racing syndicate, demonstrated her progressive qualities with an equally dominant performance to win the ENTAIN/NZB Insurance Pearl Series Fillies & Mares 1600.
Cirque De Rose and Circus Trix provided their Windsor Park-based sire CIRCUS MAXIMUS with his third winning 3YO filly in the space of a week following on from impressive debut winner Circus Dancer at New Plymouth last Friday,
