Keats, the son of Charm Spirit made a winning debut for trainer Shelly Hale at Taupo on Wednesday. 

Being caught 3 wide without cover for the entire journey and signs of greenness, he loomed up and take the lead close to home and win well for Jonathan Riddell. 

It was a fine training effort by Shelly Hale who shares in the ownership with Greg McCarthy and Windsor Park Stud.

Keats win highlights a nice couple of days for Charm Spirit who also has had his Group 3 winning daughter, Lillikoi, back in the winners circle at Rotorua for Sir Peter Vela and trainer Jamie Richards.
