Group One honours for brilliant son of SHAMEXPRESS

LIM’S SALTORO (ShamExpress), the new star of Singapore racing and best four-year-old racing there did not disappoint his supporters when successful in the $400,000 Gr.1 Singapore Derby (1800m) on Sunday.

Winning his ninth race from ten starts, LIM’S SALTORO displayed all his usual courage under fire to secure a hard-fought victory in the Gr.1 event and emphatically put his hand up as a leading contender for Horse Of The Year honours.

LIM’S SALTORO and his connections will also go down in history as final winners of one of the oldest and most prestigious feature races in Singapore which was first established in 1880.

The win also meant the son of SHAMEXPRESS has now made a complete sweep of the three Group races for four-year-olds at Kranji racecourse after he was also successful in the Gr.3 Silver Bowl (1400m) on 9 June and the Gr.2 Stewards’ Cup (1600m) on 30 June.
