27 MAY 2018 | BY RACENEWS
The hot run of form by champion racehorse Rip Van Winkle (Galileo) continued in France overnight where his son Almorox was successful in the Listed Grand Prix De Bordeaux.
Almorox proved too strong for his opposition, producing a sustained finish to win the 1900m event by 1 ½ lengths.
The Champion Spanish miler of 2017, Almorox has now won 13 races and more than €300,000 from 1400m to 2000m - including his last four races in a row.
Rip Van Winkle sired an Australian metropolitan double yesterday with his sons Bastia and Mazzurro, who both scored impressively in Sydney and Melbourne respectively.
