Windsor Park's promising freshman shuttle sire Charm Spirit (Invincible Spirit) is on the board with his first winner after two-year-old filly Diviner bolted in at Wolverhampton in the UK overnight.

Unsuited by the heavy ground on her debut run, the Mark Johnston trained filly appreciated a firmer surface at her second outing to prove a class above her rivals and win the five furlong event by five lengths.

A triple Group I winning European miler and the highest earning son of champion sire Invincible Spirit, Charm Spirit has made a great impression at Australasian yearling sales this year with his first Southern Hemisphere bred yearlings.

At Karaka, they sold to $400,000 with his top seller a filly from Lady Kipling offered by Windsor Park and bought by Ciaron Maher/Waterford Bloodstock.

Progeny of the leading European 3YO miler were also in demand at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast where Ciaron Maher featured again as the purchaser of a well made filly from Bayrock for A$300,000.

Charm Spirit is from the champion sire family of Encosta de Lago and Flying Spur a service fee for 2018is yet to be confirmed.
