Royal Ascot next for Charm Spirit York winner

Only three days since siring his initial first-crop 2YO winner, Charm Spirit (Invincible Spirit) has struck again with his son Charming Kid scoring impressively on debut at the York Dante Festival Spring meeting.
Defeating a highly touted field of juveniles in the 1000m British Stallion Stud Novice Stakes, Charming Kid finished powerfully from back in the field to score by half a length encouraging trainer Richard Fahey to aim him at the Royal Ascot meeting next month.
"Charming Kid is naturally very fast and I'd be thinking of the Norfolk Stakes as he’s quite sharp and you need plenty of boot at Ascot," said Fahey.
A triple Group I winning son of Invincible Spirit, the first Southern Hemisphere bred yearlings by Charm Spirit impressed at Australasian yearling sales this year.
At Karaka, they sold to $400,000 with his top seller a filly from Lady Kipling offered by Windsor Park and bought by Ciaron Maher/Waterford Bloodstock.
Progeny of the leading European 3YO miler were also in demand at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast where Ciaron Maher featured again as the purchaser of a beautifully made filly from Bayrock for A$300,000.
