Windsor Park Stud Operations manager Rachel Murray had a big thrill on Saturday when her 4yo mare, Express Princess showed her opposition a clean pair of heals in the $75,000 event over 1350 meters at Doomben.
"It's a big thrill as I have had a lot to do with the horse since day dot including foaling, rearing and now leasing her to the Freedman stable who have found her a wonderful group of owners. She's always been an outstanding type and a pleasure to do anything with. Rodney has always supported my aspirations and after sounding him out for advise on what I should do with her, Rod advised that I should get Richard to look at her while he was in NZ for leasing to Australia. Richard sourced some wonderful owners and I'm very thankful with the outstanding job Richard and Michael have done training her and placing her exceptionally in the right races".
The daughter of Shamexpress, Express Princess who already had impressive record was able to extend her record to 4 wins from 12 starts and adding a metro win was a great result for Murray " to achieve a metro win has always been a goal so to watch her win that in good style was exciting."
