Windsor Park’s Leading Freshman Sire ShamExpress (O’Reilly) got on the board in Singapore on Sunday evening when his juvenile son Mr Hooper (2 g ex Kate’s Talent by Montjeu) showed great fighting qualities to outsprint his opposition and make a winning debut in the $85,000, 1200 metre maiden event for two-and three-year olds.

"He won on raw ability and will come on a huge amount from today's run", commented trainer Jamie Peters.

Mr Hooper's performance heralded a bright future for both himself and his sire as he is the sixth individual first-crop winner for young Australian Group 1 winning sprinter ShamExpress who stands in 2018 for a fee of NZ$12,500 (plus GST).

ShamExpress has also sired Listed winner London Express and the stakes-placed winners Qiji Express and Cyber Attack in his first crop of juveniles.
