The Chris Waller-trained Vanbrugh has been retired from racing after being scratched from his raceday finale in Saturday’s Group One Doomben Cup due to the prevailing heavy track conditions.

The Group One-winning son of Encosta De Lago, who has a strong preference for good ground, is scheduled to arrive at Windsor Park Stud later this week.

“We’re excited to have Vanbrugh joining our team of stallions”, commented stud owner Rodney Schick.

“He won on debut at two and trained on to win the Group One Spring Champion Stakes at three, just like Savabeel and Dundeel did”.

Schick also confirmed that the entire will stand his initial season at stud for a service fee of $6,000 +GST with a Live Foal Guarantee.

“He is a great type from a highclass family and being a Group One winning son of a champion sire he offers breeders a massive entry-level opportunity,” said Schick.
