The first foal sired by twice Horse Of The Year Mongolian Khan (Holy Roman Emperor), arrived on schedule Saturday evening at Windsor Park Stud, where the champion galloper stands at stud.

The attractive bay colt, who enjoyed a text book delivery, is the second foal of the Group performed racemare Angelica Hall and hails from a renowned Windsor Park family that features numerous highclass gallopers including multiple Group One winners Royal Descent, Golden Sword and Windsor Park’s resident sire Falkirk.

Crowned Champion 3YO, Mongolian Khan made history on the racetrack as the first horse to win the Gr.1 Australian Derby, Gr.1 New Zealand Derby and the Gr.1 Caulfield Cup, amassing more than $4 million in prizemoney during his stellar career.

Mongolian Khan was well supported in his first season at stud last year, covering 143 mares and is expected to have in excess of 125 foals born this breeding season.
