Group Three winner for Falkirk
12 Sep 2016 | By Racenews

The good season being enjoyed by the progeny of Falkirk (Tale Of The Cat) was further enhanced at Awapuni on Saturday when his daughter Gypsy Fair was successful in the Marton Jockey Club’s Gr.3 Metric Mile.

Close-up in two strong open handicap fields since winning at Otaki in July, Gypsy Fair dominated her rivals in the 1600m event from the moment the gates opened, racing in a forward position to win the race convincingly.

Gypsy Fair has now won six races and more than $120,000 in stakes. She is out of the stakes-placed Zabeel mare Gypsy Moth, a daughter of Gr.1 Queensland Oaks winner Round The World.

Besides Gypsy Fair, Falkirk has also sired 2016 Gr.1 Singapore Derby winner Well Done while his other stakes winners include Gr.1 Hong Kong Derby winner Fay Fay.

Falkirk stands at Windsor Park Stud, Cambridge, where his fee of $4,000+GST includes a Live Foal Guarantee.
