Smart staying New Zealand bred racemare The Centenary (Mastercraftsman) produced another stakes winning performance at the Turffontein racetrack in South Africa at the weekend when successful in the Listed Spook Express Handicap over 2450m.

Bred by Windsor Park Stud at their Cambridge based nursery, The Centenary also won the Gr.3 Yellowwood Handicap over 1800m at Turffontein earlier this season.

The winner of six races, The Centenary was purchased for $40,000 by Waikato Bloodstock from the 2013 New Zealand Bloodstock Select Yearling Sales draft of Windsor Park Stud.

The Centenary continues an excellent season for Mastercraftsman (Danehill Dancer) whose NZ-bred progeny also include Gr.1 winner Valley Girl, Gr.2 winners Mime and Sacred Master, Listed stakes winner Flavigny as well as stakes performers Thee Auld Floozie and Saint Emilion.
