Impressive NZ-bred 2YO winner for Pour Moi
04 Nov 2015 | By Racenews

Hard on the heels of his first-crop 2YO stakes winner last Friday, Pour Moi (Montjeu) sired his first NZ-bred 2YO winner when Just You scored impressively in the 2YO event at Otaki yesterday.

At his previous start in the Listed WRC Wellesley Stakes Just You had his chances extinguished through interference however this time, after racing behind the pace, he forged clear to register a 3 length victory.

Just You is the first Australasian raceday representative for English Derby hero Pour Moi and is highly regarded by his connections who consider he will only get better as he matures.

Bred by the Spyglass Hill Syndicate, Just You is out of the Fusaichi Pegasus mare Monte Makemyday and was purchased for $60,000 out of Little Avondale Stud’s Karaka Select draft by trainer Lisa Latta on behalf of Kamada Bloodstock.

Pour Moi has three lots catalogued for the upcoming NZ Bloodstock Ready To Run Sale of 2YO’s at Karaka on November 18th & 19th next month.
