Promising winner for Pour Moi
17 Aug 2015 | By Racenews

Following on from recent first-crop 2YO winner Only Mine, English Derby winner Pour Moi (Montjeu) produced Engage to win on debut at Doncaster in England at the weekend.

A close relative to Gr.1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Solemia (Poliglote), Engage was a 160,000 Guineas yearling purchase and the Sir Michael Stoute-trained filly finished resolutely over the 1600m journey to land the spoils.

“Engage was nice and relaxed and she dug deep and showed a good attitude when she had to”’ said jockey Stevie Donohoe.

Pour Moi’s first New Zealand conceived progeny are now 2YO’s and will commence racing in the 2015/16 racing season. His second crop yearlings will be offered at the 2016 New Zealand Bloodstock Yearling Sales series at Karaka next January.
