I Am Invincible colt on top at Magic Millions

An I Am Invincible (Invincible Spirit) half-brother to Listed-winning two-year-old Haptic (Exceed And Excel) topped the second session of the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale at the Gold Coast yesterday when selling to John Crowley of Mecca Thoroughbreds for A$260,000.

The Yarraman Park Stud-consigned colt is out of the multiple-winning Beautiful Crown (Chief’s Crown) mare Troubeaut, who has produced two winners from as many runners, including Godolphin's speedy juvenile Haptic.

"He's the best colt in the sale," said Crowley. "He's a very athletic horse. He moves very well and he's going to make a lovely three-year-old - just a real athlete”.

Gr.3 winning young sire I Am Invincible (Invincible Spirit) is fully booked at Yarraman Park Stud at a fee of A$55,000. He is the sire in his first crop of this season’s leading Australian sprinter Brazen Beau, winner of the Gr.1 Newmarket Handicap at Flemington and scheduled to race at Royal Ascot later this month.

Brazen Beau is bred on very similar lines to Windsor Park Stud’s recently announced triple Gr.1 winning stallion Charm Spirit (Invincible Spirit).

Brazen Beau is a member of Charm Spirit’s illustrious family, which is also responsible for champion Australian sires Encosta de Lago and Flying Spur, while his own sire I Am Invincible is, like Charm Spirit, a son of champion sire Invincible Spirit (Green Desert).
