01 Jun 2015 | By Racenews

A prestigious Group race ‘double’ on French Derby day in Paris yesterday took Champion sire Invincible Spirit’s overall tally of stakes winners to 91, which includes 10 individual stakes winners in the current year.

New Group-race winners Muthmir and Impassable join a burgeoning list of top class performers for Invincible Spirit that appears certain to grow further with the northern hemisphere season approaching the halfway mark.

Invincible Spirit’s English trained son Muthmir was successful in the main sprint race on the card, the Gr.2 Prix du Gros-Chene over 1,000m, while his daughter Impassable won the 1,600m Gr.2 Prix de Sandringham for 3YO fillies.

Invincible Spirit’s highest earning son and triple Gr.1 winner Charm Spirit will shuttle to Windsor Park Stud, Cambridge this spring for his first southern hemisphere breeding season.
